Funding Available to Help DC Families Access Our Summer Programs

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to grow, connect, and thrive over the summer — and we’re happy to share two funding resources that may help DC families access our programs.

Learn24 OST Youth Scholarship Program:

The Greater Washington Community Foundation has created the Learn24 OST Youth Scholarship Program DC students may be eligible for scholarships of up to $5,000 (or up to $10,000 for students with disabilities enrolling in disability-specific programming) through Learn24’s OST Youth Scholarship Program, managed by the Greater Washington Community Foundation. The Summer Programs application opened March 2, 2026 and is accepted on a rolling basis, with a minimum award of $1,000.

Ready to apply for a Learn24 scholarship for your child’s summer program? We’ve made it easy. Download this packet, which includes a question-by-question answer guide with all of Skills on the Hill’s program information pre-filled, plus the required supporting documents (Business License and W-9) you’ll need to attach to your online application. Simply open the Learn24 application, use this guide to complete each question, and upload the included documents when prompted.

HSCSN Summer Program Benefit:

 Children enrolled with Health Services for Children with Special Needs (HSCSN) may have summer program costs covered through their Summer Program Benefit, available Memorial Day through Labor Day. Programs supporting socialization, fitness, self-care, education, and other skills may qualify.
