Occupational Therapy

Commonly asked questions about OT

Skills on the Hill offers occupational therapy services at both our Arlington, VA and Washington, DC locations. Occupational therapists work with children to address developmental differences that impact participation at school, home and in the community. Occupations are activities in which people engage; for a child those include play, education, social participation, and activities of daily living including feeding, bathing, getting dressed, and completing daily routines. From developing fine motor skills to grasp toys to addressing difficulties with organization and executive functioning, our OTs work alongside children birth through teenager on a variety of skill areas. Treatment is targeted by identifying barriers to participation with a goal of gaining improved independence while building self-esteem!
